Blue badge renewals

The London Borough of Waltham Forest no longer sends out reminders when a disabled person's parking permit - a 'blue badge' - is due to expire. This change has not been well publicised and drivers who do not renew their permit may be fined for parking illegally.

To renew a parking permit, drivers should phone the council's Mobility team on 020 8496 3000 to get an application form or download this from the council's website.

About three weeks before a new permit is needed, the completed form should be taken or posted to:

together with a passport-sized photograph signed on the back and proof of residence, for example a recent gas, electricity or other utility bill.
