Information and advice

We provide free and confidential information and advice on all issues affecting older adults and their carers. To use our service all you need do is telephone us on 020 8558 5512 or pop in to one of our drop in sessions at the local libraries.

We can provide information on money matters, health, community care, family and personal matters, your rights, local services and welfare benefits relevant to older adults. We will talk you through enquiries; provide information and guidance on the options that are available. We also have specially trained staff and volunteers who give information on financial benefits; they will assess whether people are eligible for extra money, assist with any forms and help where there are any difficulties pursuing the claim but, please note, we do not provide an appeals service. If we cannot help, we can put you in touch with people who can.

Our service has a Quality Mark in general help with casework from the Community Legal Service and advice can be provided in most of the Asian languages of Waltham Forest.
