Home safety
Everyone wants to feel safe and secure in their home. We help old people in Waltham Forest do this by providing advice and information on fire safety, dealing with bogus callers and distraction burglary, and door step selling .
We work in partnership with the local fire brigade and police teams, energy and water suppliers, Waltham Forest council's Trading Standards, the local Community safety partnership, HEET (Home Energy Efficiency Training) through the Older people's safety campaign.
The 'campaign' raises awareness of the home safety issues and provides practical advice on improving home safety, both to individuals and organisations working with older adults.
