Service Name: Advocacy Service

 

Brief description of service:

One to One Advocacy

This service is aimed at  older people or carers who are unable to advocate for themselves. The advocate provides a communication link between a frail older person, carer and various authorities.

 

Times available/open:

Help-line is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and 12 noon. At all other times there is an answering machine to leave a message.

 

Languages available:

English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi

How to access service:

Older people and their carers can self refer. Referrals taken from other organizations also.
